San Francisco California GeoTrek Team Building Adventure

What is GeoTrek?

GeoTrek is an adventure, based on the sport geo-caching, that blends sight-seeing and technology. Secret caches are hidden in parks or peculiar city spots, and it’s up to your team to find them, while enjoying many of the great attractions that San Francisco has to offer.

What is a Cache?

The term “cache” is used in hiking or camping to describe a hiding place for concealing and preserving provisions. Our caches contain clues to the next cache or instructions for team challenges.

How does GeoTrek work?

Teams of 4-6 are given maps, charts, cameras, travel passes, GPS units and clues, then tasked with finding a cache. Once found, the team uses the unit to navigate from their current location to another location...translating the "as-the-crow-flies" directions into a real path using sidewalks, streets or trails as necessary.

Where will GeoTrek take us?

Depending on how well your team strategizes, the actual walking distance of GeoTrek is about 4 miles, but you’ll cover between 6 and 8 miles with the help of San Francisco’s cable cars and trolleys.

What will we see along the way?

- China Town

- Golden Gate Bridge

- The Embarcadero

- Fisherman’s Wharf

- North Beach

- Union Square

- Coit Tower

- Alcatraz

- The Presidio

- Lombard - the crookedest street in the world
