"AAI provided a great balance between the activity and team dynamics. We had fun but also processed the learning--it was light-hearted yet serious and not at all goofy or corny. I loved that we walked away with new ideas and a greater appreciation for each other on top of having a lot of fun!"

Far-Flung Teams

Virtual Teams, Co-Located Teams and Geographically-Dispersed Teams

The way we work has changed, and often many of us share responsibilities, deadlines and projects, but not office space. Called virtual teams, co-located teams and far-flung teams, these groups have a unique set of challenges.

Trust, rapport and camaraderie are vital to a team’s success, but difficult (if not impossible) to generate over the phone or through email correspondence. Equally difficult to share remotely are resources, best practices, insights and innovations.

So how do you make the most of the time spent together when you are able to bring everyone together for meetings and retreats? To address these challenges, we’ve developed a selection of team building adventures and training modules that can be combined and customized to help even the most problematic geographically-dispersed groups.

We recommend a combination of the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, a Communication workshop, Team Performance Challenges, Build a Bridge and Active Forum. These can built into a 2 or 3-day retreat, or spread throughout the year as quarterly full or half-day events.
